What is it?
Community Acupuncture is a great, inexpensive way for people to get a taste of what Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is all about. With community acupuncture you get a short 20-30 minute treatment in a group setting. Using a few common acupoints to help alleviate symptoms ranging from headaches, body pain, nausea, to acne, stress, and sore throat. This is an excellent way to satisfy ones curiosity into avenues of health they have not yet considered.
Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) uses systems and philosophies that were developed over 2000 years ago to help balance and heal the body. TCM uses acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, tui na massage, and herbal remedies to rectify the root of the health issues one may be experiencing. Not only is it effective in pain management, it’s positive effects can reach even further. TCM has been effective in treating addiction, acne, eczema, PMS, headaches, insomnia, high blood pressure, stress and much more. In conjuncture with western medicine and other modalities, people can experience very positive results.
How it works:
Come into the clinic (walk-ins welcome) fill out a form with what has been bothering you.
Take a seat, or lay down.
Relax, let the practitioner do the rest!
The practitioner will chose a few acupuncture points based on the symptoms you are exhibiting, insert the needles as quickly and as painlessly as possible, and retain them for around 20 - 30 minutes. To get the best results with TCM, one must go for multiple consecutive treatments and community acupuncture is an excellent way to do that.
